Subject: Governance White Papers now available

Dear Members,

With great pleasure I'd like to announce the availability of a group of
"White Papers" produced by the Governance Committee. These materials
are an initial attempt to describe and analyze the issues we face in
revising the Articles of Incorporation, Constitution, and By-Laws of the
CPCA.

The Members of the Governance Committee, in addition to myself as Chair,
are:

Jeff Davis - Deputy Chair

Jeremy Sher- Deputy Chair

John Korbel

Ann Large

Mark Rosenman

Ted Thomas

Tina Tummonds

The documents (with their URL's on the CPCA web site) are:

Please join with me in thanking the Members of the Governance Committee
for their fine work.

Also, please keep in mind these White Papers are only interim products.
We are seeking your advice and guidance on the issues raised in these
papers. These papers do not represent any approved position of the
Governance Committee, the CPCA, or its Officers, they are for discussion
only.

We intend to hold a series of meetings over the next several months to
explore the issues raised in these papers. In particular, we hope you
join us on March 16th at 7pm at the Adas Israel Congregation where we
will focus on organizational structure and related issues.

Through these meetings we will try to find consensus on the choices
presented in these White Papers. We then will define a proposal for a
new operational framework for CPCA. After we have shared that proposal
with you and obtained your guidance, we will then begin to draft the
language for our new Governance documents. In due course, we will
submit these new Governance documents to the Membership for approval by
vote. Shortly, you will see a detailed work plan providing dates for
the various stages of our approach and when we might expect to submit
the new Governance documents for your approval.

Kind regards,

John

President, CPCA
