Join the 50th Anniversary

Celebration of the Cleveland Park Library.

A grand and glorious occasion on behalf of our beloved library.  Mark Russell Master of Ceremonies.  Rita Thompson Joyner, DC Asst. Library Director, and Brian Brown, CP Librarian, on the history and future of our library system.  26 local authors talking about and signing their books.  Your chance to order the unique Cleveland Park Anniversary Cookbook.  (Cleveland Parkers are great cooks.) Plus, T-Shirts, umbrellas, a magic coffee mug you can buy to remember the occasion and lots of door prizes throughout the day.  Miss this and you’ll have to wait 50 years for another such opportunity.

Neighborhood Restaurants:  Too Many?  Too Few?  A New Look At An Old Problem.

The Commercial Overlay, designed to limit restaurants to 25 percent of store frontage to ensure diversity on Connecticut Avenue and to moderate traffic and parking problems, has never been enforced.  Now CPCA is proposing a zoning change that would make enforcement simpler and end the controversy that has raged since 1989, when the Overlay was written.  We need your support on this.
